È ufficiale, Dalla Corte ospiterà la prima edizione del World Espresso Championship! La competizione si terrà presso Code Black Coffee Roasters a Melbourne in occasione della Giornata internazionale del caffè, il 1° ottobre.
Dalla Corte, presente al MICE dal 27 al 30 Settembre con uno stand, ha colto l’occasione perfetta per invitare alcuni dei migliori baristi del mondo a venire a competere sulla loro macchina per espresso specialty per eccellenza, la Zero.
Il MICE (il Melbourne International Coffee Expo) infatti ospiterà le finali mondiali dei campionati 2022 World Barista e World Brewers Cup.
Il Team di Dalla Corte Australia ha deciso di ospitare una competizione fuori dagli schemi. La posta in gioco è alta, con un premio in denaro per il vincitore, tuttavia, l’atmosfera sarà molto diversa dalle competizioni mondiali! Per il World Espresso Championship l’atmosfera sarà molto più rilassata, entusiasmo e divertimento prenderanno la scena, oltre alla bravura dei baristi che potranno sperimentare su Zero tutte le potenzialità della profilazione del flusso sull’espresso.
La competizione sarà un torneo a eliminazione a più round, ogni concorrente avrà un tempo per la calibrazione, seguito dal tempo di preparazione e quindi dalla valutazione immediata dell’espresso da parte di una giuria di esperti.
Una competizione incentrata sull’esperienza sensoriale, dove i giudici daranno la loro opinione sulle proprie preferenze alla cieca, valutando ciò che i concorrenti producono utilizzando lo stesso caffè fornito dalla competizione e la leva per il flusso “freestyle” di Zero. Contano solo aroma, olfatto e aspetto della tazzina che avranno di fronte. I concorrenti si schiereranno in un “uno contro uno” arrivando alla finalissima, che vedrà solo un barista primeggiare: il vincitore si porterà a casa 5.000 Euro e il titolo di campione della prima edizione della World Espresso Championship Dalla Corte!

Dalla Corte hosts their own World Espresso Championship at MICE
It’s official: Dalla Corte is holding the very first edition of the World Espresso Championship! The competition will take place at Code Black Coffee Roasters in Melbourne on International Coffee Day, October 1st.
Dalla Corte, in attendance at MICE from September 27th to the 30th (booth number 426), has taken this opportunity to invite some of the world’s best baristas to compete on quintessential specialty espresso machine, the Zero. In fact, MICE (the Melbourne International Coffee Expo) is hosting the 2022 World Barista and World Brewers Cup championship finals.
The Dalla Corte Australia Team has organized a competition out-of-the-box: the stakes are high, with a cash prize of 5000 euros for the winner. However, the vibe will be very different from the championships! At the DC World Espresso Championship, the national barista champions can flex their sensory skills and talent in a more laid-back atmosphere, experimenting on Zero the full potential of flow profiling for espresso making.
The competition will be a multi-round elimination tournament, each barista will have an allowance of time for calibration, followed by preparation time and then immediate evaluation of their espresso by a panel of expert judges.
A contest focused on sensory experience, where judges will give their blind opinion evaluating the competitors’ espresso, made with coffee supplied by the competition and Zero’s “freestyle” flow lever. Only thing that matters will be what they can taste, smell, and see in the cup in front of them. Competitors will battle each other one-on-one ‘til they reach the final, then we’ll see only one barista excel. The winner takes home 5,000 Euros and the title of first World Espresso Champion by Dalla Corte!
