In occasione della fiera Drinktec Mumbai, che si è svolta lo scorso dicembre 2022, SMI ha presentato al mercato indiano la nuova filiale SMI India, una nuova realtà commerciale creata per consolidare e incrementare la presenza in un Paese che registra una forte crescita dei consumi nel settore del “food & beverage”.
SMI vanta in India un parco macchine di circa 60 unità (di cui 3 stiro-soffiatrici rotative), attualmente installato presso aziende di imbottigliamento di primaria importanza; di conseguenza è diventato prioritario poter disporre di una struttura locale per fornire un migliore e più rapido servizio ai clienti esistenti e futuri.
Diretta da Vithal Kalbate, un professionista di grande esperienza nel settore del “beverage” indiano, la nuova società SMI India ha sede a Goregaon (Mumbai), è dotata di un magazzino ricambi e si avvale di un team locale dedicato all’assistenza post-vendita.
Già nelle prime settimane di attività, la nuova filiale di SMI ha ricevuto numerose richieste di fornitura di pezzi di ricambio e di interventi tecnici di “overhaul” delle macchine in produzione.

SMI India has arrived
At the Drinktec Mumbai trade fair, which was held in December 2022, SMI presented to the Indian market the new SMI India subsidiary, a new business reality created to consolidate and enhance its presence in a Country that is experiencing a strong consumption growth in the food and beverage industry.
SMI boasts in India a fleet of about 60 machines (including 3 rotary stretch-blow moulders), that are currently installed at key bottling companies; therefore, it has become a priority to have a local facility to provide existing and future customers with a better and faster service.
Led by Vithal Kalbate, a professional with an extended experience in the Indian beverage market, the new SMI India company is based in Goregaon (Mumbai) and has a spare parts warehouse and a local after-sales staff.
Already within the first weeks of activity, the new SMI subsidiary received several requests for the supply of spare parts and overhaul technical interventions of the machines in production.
