OCME collabora con Toyota per perfezionare i processi aziendali

Da sempre le priorità di OCME sono la sicurezza dei propri dipendenti, l’efficienza e la qualità dei propri prodotti. Per questo motivo nel 2014 è nata la necessità di creare un sistema sostenibile attraverso:

• La riduzione degli sprechi
• La definizione di standard efficaci ed efficienti
• Il miglioramento continuo dei processi produttivi, mira a soddisfare le esigenze del mercato
• Valorizzare le persone per una crescita sia personale che di gruppo.

Per queste ragioni OCME ha deciso di collaborare con Toyota ispirandosi al Toyota Production Systems per accrescere la cultura aziendale al rispetto di principi di base, sui quali costruire un percorso incentrato sul coinvolgimento di tutte le risorse, l’acquisizione di strumenti snelli ed efficaci, in grado di sviluppare le competenze delle risorse alla definizione di soluzioni efficaci per l’ottimizzazione dei tempi di lavoro.

Attraverso strumenti come:

• Il “Kaizen”, un processo di gestione della catena di distribuzione che permette di razionalizzare il flusso del materiale, ridurre la movimentazione dei materiali migliorando l’efficienza della produzione
• Il “Pull”, un processo che consente la razionalizzazione del tempo e degli spazi gestendo il materiale a chiamata secondo le fasi di montaggio si elimina o si riduce lo stazionamento del materiale in fabbrica garantendo che ci sia il materiale che serve dove serve e nel momento in cui serve
• Il “Tabellone fermo produzione” ci permette di mirare alla perfezione tramite: ottimizzazione dei tempi di assemblaggio, maggior affidabilità del ciclo produttivo, risoluzione dei problemi prioritari e responsabilizzazione delle persone

Grazie a tutti questi ultimi processi, inizialmente applicati sulla linea di produzione VEGA (termofardellatrice OCME) è stato possibile ottenere grandi risultati come:

• Incremento di efficienza delle ore di montaggio
• Riduzione dei tempi consegna macchine
• Maggior ordine e organizzazione nei reparti produttivi
• Riduzione degli ingombri e dei movimenti al montaggio

I risultati positivi hanno portato a mirare a nuovi obiettivi:

• Consolidare le attività ed i risultati sulla linea produttiva Vega
• Espandere nel tempo i principi a tutte le nostre macchine (in parte già iniziato)
• Diffondere la cultura e l’attenzione anche al cliente
• Responsabilizzare la struttura al miglioramento quotidiano
• Estendere l’applicazione dei principi ad altre aree coinvolgendo non solo l’officina ma anche l’area tecnica, commerciali, i project manager, ecc..

Questa integrazione ha portato alla nascita di OCME OPTIMUS, un metodo di organizzazione a lungo termine dei processi aziendali, con l’obiettivo di concentrare gli sforzi di tutti noi verso l’obiettivo comune di soddisfare quanto prima le esigenze del cliente operando in un clima più organizzato, sicuro e ottimizzato.

Nei giorni 26 e 27 Aprile durante l’OCME Open House uno degli obiettivi prefissati è stato messo in atto, il progetto è stato presentato ai clienti e visitatori, coinvolgendoli nella sala dedicata chiamata “Training Room”, uno spazio dove i gruppi di lavoro attraverso team leader si prefissano obiettivi, tempi e regole per ottenere insieme risultati eccellenti.

OCME collaborates with Toyota to improve its business processes

In OCME the safety of employees always comes first, as well as the efficiency and the quality of its products. In 2014 it became necessary to create a sustainable system in order to:

• Handle the waste reduction better
• Define effective and efficient standards,
• Improve the production processes aiming at meeting the market needs
• Enhance OCME co-workers personal and professional growth.

For these reasons OCME decided to work together with Toyota, taking inspiration from the T.P.S – Toyota Production System. The goal is to improve OCME’s corporate culture by respecting basic principles, on which to build a path focused on the involvement of all resources, through the acquisition of lean and effective tools, able to develop the resource’s skills, as well as the definition of effective solutions for the optimization of working time.

This system can be defined through 3 main steps :

• The “Kaizen”: one of the supply chain management process that allows to streamline the flow of material, reducing material handling, and improving the production efficiency.
• The “Pull”: a process that allows the rationalization of time and space by managing the material according to the phases of assembly, eliminating or reducing the material stationing at the factory, and  ensuring the material being available wherever it is needed and at the right moment.
• The “Board production stop”: aimed at perfection by optimizing the assembly times as well as the production cycle reliability, by solving priority problems, and by focusing on People’s Empowerment.

Thanks to all of these latter processes, initially applied on the VEGA production line (OCME best-selling shrink-wrappers) great results have been achieved, such as:

• Increased efficiency of assembly time
• Reduced delivery time
• Increased organization and order in the production departments
• Saving on space and assembly movements

These positive results have led to new targets:

• Consolidate the activities and results on the Vega production line
• Expand over time the principles to all of our machines (partly already started)
• Spread the culture and the attention to the customer
• Empower the structure to the daily improvement
• Extend the application of the principles to other areas involving not only the workshop but also the technical area, commercial, project managers, etc ..

This path led to the birth of OCME OPTIMUS, a long-term method of business processes organization, with the objective of concentrating the efforts of the whole team on the common goal of meeting the customer’s needs, in an organized and safe operating climate, optimizing the results.

During  the OCME Open House, which took place on the 26th and 27th of April, one of this project’s objective has been met: it was presented to our customers and visitors in the “Training Room”, a space where the working groups and dedicated  team leaders set up the objectives, the time and rules for each machine in order to obtain excellent results.
