L’azienda Gancia di Canelli ha avuto l’onore di ricevere ben quattro riconoscimenti, tra cui due Oscar della Douja d’OrHa firmato il primo spumante Metodo Classico italiano e ancora oggi, ad oltre 160 anni di distanza, Gancia si conferma una delle eccellenze del Made in Italy.
Uno speciale riconoscimento a questa realtà giunge infatti anche dal 45° Concorso Enologico Nazionale per vini a DOC e a DOCG “Premio Douja d’Or” indetto dalla Camera di Commercio di Asti con la collaborazione tecnica dell’O.N.A.V. (Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori di Vino).Il premio è stato assegnato a due etichette: l’Asti Docg 2011 Metodo Classico – Cuvée 24 Mesi e l’Asti Docg Cuvée. L’azienda di Canelli ha avuto però l’onore di vedersi attribuire anche due Oscar Douja d’Or, uno all’Alta Langa Docg Riserva Cuvée 60 Mesi 2009 e l’altro all’Alta Langa Docg Cuvée 36 Mesi 2011.
Il “Premio Douja d’Or” viene decretato dalle Commissioni dell’O.N.A.V. solo ai vini che, in fase di degustazione, raggiungono almeno 87 punti su 100, evidenziando caratteristiche di elevata qualità.A potersi fregiare del prestigioso riconoscimento dell’Oscar Douja d’Or sono invece i vini che alle selezioni ottengono un punteggio superiore ai 90/100. Questi ultimi vengono infatti ulteriormente premiati da un’apposita commissione di tecnici. Per Gancia si tratta di una nuova conferma in un panorama enologico che vede l’azienda di Canelli impegnata in una costante ricerca della qualità.

Gancia sparkling wines receive Oscars in Italy
Casa Gancia, producer of the first Italian sparkling wine, announces the winning of multiple awards at the prestigious Italian wine competition Douja D’Or.
Gancia has won two Oscars for Gancia Alta Langa Docg Riserva Cuvée 60 Mesi 2009 and Gancia Alta Langa DOCG Cuvée 36 Mesi 2011. The exquisite taste and quality of Gancia wines were recognised by a judging panel consisting of members of the Chamber of Commerce of Asti and O.N.A.V (Italian Federation of Wine Tasters).
In addition, the sparkling wine range won two awards for Gancia Asti DOCG 2011 Metodo Classico Cuvée 24 Mesi and Gancia Asti DOCG Cuvée. The Douja D’Or award is attributed to those wines which score at least 85 points out of 100 and the Oscar is only presented to wines which achieve a score higher than 90/100. These outstanding awards are testament to the impeccable taste of Gancia products and its commitment to the continued pursuit of quality and excellence.
The popularity of Gancia is continuing to climb all around the world. In 3 years, the production of Gancia wines and vermouths has increased from 19 million bottles to almost 25 million bottles, and exports in the first half of 2017 grew by an impressive 61%.
