E’ la strategia adottata da Al Etihad Refreshment che, grazie alla collaborazione con SMI, ha installato una nuova linea di l’imbottigliamento e confezionamento dell’acqua a marchio Doha Water; l’impianto ha una capacità produttiva attuale di 20.000 bottiglie/ora, ma può essere facilmente adattato per raddoppiarla, senza dover rivedere il layout della linea o sostituire i macchinari attuali.
La nuova linea di produzione è stata progettata e realizzata secondo tutti i più innovativi parametri di Industry 4.0 e della “smart factory”, grazie ai quali può adattarsi facilmente ai flussi di produzione imposti dalla domanda del mercato. L’impianto fornito da SMI, che comprende un sistema integrato della serie ECOBLOC® ERGON, una cartonatrice della serie LWP 30 ERGON e una fardellatrice della serie LSK 42 F ERGON,permette ad Al Etihad Refreshment di rispondere efficacemente e rapidamente a tali variazioni.
La linea completa è stata dimensionata sin dall’inizio per far fronte ad un incremento di produzione fino a 40.000 bottiglie/ora, senza dover cambiare le macchine installate per l’attuale produzione di 20.000 bottiglie/ ora; infatti, per il raddoppio sarà sufficiente aggiungere un nuovo sistema integrato della serie ECOBLOC® ERGON. La flessibilità della fornitura SMI offre al cliente anche un’altra opzione, in base alla quale egli potrà decidere di mantenere la velocità di produzione attuale di 20.000 bottiglie/ora ed utilizzare il futuro sistema integrato ECOBLOC® ERGON per l’imbottigliamento di un altro prodotto oppure per lavorare nuovi formati di bottiglia.
Anche in questo caso non saranno necessarie modifiche al resto della linea, poiché la versatilità dei nastri trasportatori e delle confezionatrici automatiche ERGON delle serie LSK e LWP è tale da consentire la simultanea gestione di molteplici prodotti e/o formati.
Macchine automatiche che si adattano ai consumatori
Una delle maggiori sfide da affrontare nella produzione di bevande consiste nel trovare il giusto equilibrio tra produttività e flessibilità. Sapendo per certo che le richieste dei consumatori sono destinate a cambiare nel tempo, le aziende del settore “food & beverages” necessitano di grande flessibilità operativa nelle linee di produzione, in modo da poter modificare ricette di prodotto, formati di bottiglie e tipologie di confezionamento. Al Ethiad relies on SMI to improve its profitability
In order to meet the growing market needs, companies like Al Ethiad Refreshment continually invest in new technologies and cutting-edge production plants.Since future is not always predictable, the winning choice is that of focusing on the customers’ current needs, without losing sight of future objectives in order to optimize resources and investments. This is the strategy adopted by Al Ethiad Refreshment, that thanks to its collaboration with SMI, installed a new bottling and packaging line for Doha Water brand; the plant has a current production of 20,000 bottles/hour, but can easily be adapted to double it, without changing the line layout or replacing the machines that are currently used.
The new production line has been designed and created according to the most innovative parameters of Industry 4.0 and smart factory, thanks to which it is capable of easily adapting to production flows required by market demand. The plant supplied by SMI, that includes an integrated system from the ECOBLOC® ERGON series, a case packer from the LWP 30 ERGON series and a shrink wrapper from the LSK 42 F ERGON series, allows Al Etihad Refreshment to efficiently and quickly meet these changes.
Since the beginning, the complete line has been designed to face an increase in production of up to 40,000 bottles/hour, without having to change the machines installed for the current production of 20,000 bottles/hour; indeed, to double it, it will be sufficient to add a new integrated system from the ECOBLOC® ERGON series.
The flexibility of SMI equipment also gives customers another option: he will be able to choose to maintain the current production speed of 20,000 bottles/hour and use the future integrated ECOBLOC® ERGON system to bottle another product or run new bottle formats.
Even in this case, no changes to the line are necessary, as the conveyors and automatic ERGON packers from the LSK and LWP series are so flexible that they will ensure the simultaneous management of several products and/or formats.
