Dal 1937 Caffè Milani ha una tradizione: guardare al futuro

Caffè Milani nasce nel centro storico di Como nel 1937 con Celestino Milani e una grande passione per il caffè che prosegue da tre generazioni. La sua piccola torrefazione, a pochi passi dal lago di Como, fu presto un riferimento in tutta la città ed oltre.

Le ragioni di questo successo? Semplicemente l’infinita passione di Celestino che con il suo entusiasmo coinvolse irrefrenabilmente anche il figlio Pierluigi a cui tramandò i segreti della tostatura e le ricette delle miscele.

Oggi il connubio che vive in Caffè Milani tra tradizione e moderne visioni imprenditoriali, tecnologiche e produttive è ancora più visibile nella nuova sede, recentemente ristrutturata ad ampliata.

Qui si trovano l’Esposizione Caffè Milani, un luogo per immergersi nel mondo del caffè in cui si possono ammirare le isole botaniche, dove sono conservate le piante di caffè, la collezione di macchine da caffè, casalinghe e professionali, e di tazzine e l’Altascuola Coffee Training, il centro dedicato alla formazione e alla diffusione della cultura del buon caffè che offre un sistema completo di corsi tenuti da docenti qualificati dello IIAC, di IEI e di Sca.

La linea di Caffè Milani è molto ampia e dispone di un vasto assortimento di prodotti disponibili in diversi formati per accontentare tutti i gusti e tutte le occasioni di consumo dal bar alla casa. Dalle miscele alle singole origini, dal caffè in grani al caffè macinato, per passare alle cialde e alle capsule.

Since 1937 Caffè Milani has mainteined a tradition: looking to the future

Caffè Milani was born in 1937 in the city center of Como with Celestino Milani and with his huge passion for coffee sustained over three generations. The small coffee shop, where Celestino Milani used to roast the coffee himself with a small roasting machine, quickly became a landmark throughout the city and beyond.

The reasons for this well-deserved success? Simply Celestino’s endless passion that inevitably involved even the youngest son, Pierluigi. Celestino taught him the secrets of roasting and the recipes of the blends: a precious treasure that he has jealously kept to this day.

Today, the mix between tradition and modern vision is even more evident in the new headquarter recently renovated and extended. In the haedquarter there is Esposizione Caffè Milani, a permanent exhibition of the culture of coffee, where is possible to see a greenhouse where there are some coffee plants, and a collection of professional and domestic coffee machines and coffee cups.

The headquarter has also a new training center Altascuola Coffee Training that offers a complete and advanced system of theoretical and practical training and updating courses, leading to professional qualification as well as the management of locales. The training offer is extensive: it includes courses held by qualified teaching staff from the IIAC, from IEI as well as from the SCA.

The range of Milani coffees includes a vast assortment of products and formats, aimed at satisfying every taste and all the various opportunities for enjoying them:  from a “fast” espresso to the one on which to “meditate”, from the horeca coffee to the one enjoyed at home, from blends to single origins, from coffee in beans to ground coffee, pods and capsules.
